BOB (BOB)

BOB (ticker: BOB) is an innovative blockchain designed to operate on top of another established blockchain known as ICP. This unique blockchain-on-blockchain architecture enables BOB to leverage the security and reliability of ICP while providing its users with a specialized layer for decentralized applications. The functionality of BOB is anchored in a unique ‘proof-of-on-chain-work’ system. In this model, users can deploy their smart contracts, called canisters, executed through the Bob.fun platform. These smart contracts solve mathematical problems, or hashes, provided by main computers known as mother nodes. When miners complete these tasks correctly, the mother nodes validate their work and add a new block to the BOB blockchain, rewarding the successful miner with BOB tokens. The total supply of BOB is capped at 21 million tokens, with 600 BOB being distributed as a block reward every time a block is mined.

Mining on the BOB network has specific details that enhance its functionality and efficiency. The mining process operates at an average rate where a block is mined every 432 seconds, given the concurrent participation of 1000 miners at a speed of 6 million hashes per second. The cost structure is also designed to be efficient, with one dollar providing one trillion cycles needed for running miners. This cost framework ensures that the system remains economically viable for miners, who can adjust their operational speed based on available resources.
