Inspired by the mystique of the unknown, the project delves into a world where bizarre events unfold in an eerie town shrouded in mystery and otherworldly occurrences. Driven by influences from classic 80s and 90s culture, as well as notable works from creators like Stephen King and David Lynch, the Critters Cult combines an engaging narrative with a robust pixel art aesthetic to create a compelling universe, enticing fans of visual storytelling and community-driven experiences.

The collection comprises over 10 distinct critters, each possessing a variety of traits that belong to one of five unique realms. This structured approach to character design emphasizes artistic storytelling and encourages community participation, emboldening fans to shape the lore of their critters through collaborative efforts. Furthermore, the project is designed in phases, with the initial stage focusing on launching profile pictures, while subsequent developments will include the strategic narrative game Loop Chronicles, along with various spin-offs and a collective source called The Library, where participants can further engage with the evolving Crittersverse narrative.
