Ratio Protocol (RATIO) is a decentralized finance (DeFi) project that aims to de-risk the DeFi ecosystem through cutting-edge risk assessment of collateral used in its lending system. The protocol offers real-time quantitative and qualitative credit risk assessments, similar to traditional credit rating agencies, to guide informed investment choices. By providing risk ratings and offering self-paying loans, Ratio Protocol simplifies DeFi and enables users to leverage their deposited collateral while collecting yield and minimizing fees.

Ratio Protocol’s risk rating algorithms help users get maximum leverage against their deposited collateral without sacrificing the yield of their deposited LP (liquidity provider). The protocol offers self-paying loans where users can deposit yield-bearing stable collateral to take out “USDr” loans. These loans can be repaid using the yield earned from the deposited assets. Ratio Protocol aims to provide superior risk analytics with minimal fees, requiring no stability fees, deposit fees, or interest rates. Instead, the protocol only charges a 0.5% loan origination fee and a small percentage of the acquired yield on deposited assets.

With a roadmap that includes platform development, partner integrations, and a public launch, Ratio Protocol is focused on expanding its mission to de-risk DeFi. The protocol has already received seed capital from notable investors such as Alameda Research, CMS, and Solana Labs.
