About Fodl Finance

FODL Finance (FODL) is a fully decentralized leverage trading platform that allows traders to utilize leverage for their trades without paying funding rates. This leverage is derived from existing decentralized finance (DeFi) building blocks, such as Compound and Aave. With FODL, traders can margin their collateralized assets to themselves through Aave or Compound, paying no funding rates, only the platforms’ interest rate. Unlike derivatives on centralized exchanges, FODL positions expose the true underlying assets, ensuring they are fully backed by underlying value.

One of the key benefits of FODL is that funds are never deposited to the FODL platform. Similar to Uniswap v3 positions work, liquidity is contained within an NFT that traders hold in their wallets. This means that traders have full control over their funds and keys. Additionally, traders earn FODL governance tokens for trading, and these token holders are entitled to direct all fees gained by the FODL platform. The more traders trade, the more they can earn.
