Agouti (AGU)

Agouti (AGU) is a charity-focused coin designed to provide resources to others through blockchain technology. It emerged from a coin swap from Lunique (LUQ), a cryptocurrency scam. Agouti aims to be a rebirth of cryptocurrency, driven by the dream of decentralized help. One of its unique features is decentralized voting on every use case, enabling individuals to actively participate in helping others, such as buying them food, fixing their homes, providing training, fostering healthy workplaces, creating jobs, and more. With Agouti, the power to make a difference lies in the hands of its users.

Agouti (AGU) operates on the Quark algorithm and has a maximum supply of 3,000,000 coins. The block time is 60 seconds, and the masternode collateral requirement is 3,000 AGU. Block rewards are distributed as follows: Block 1 consists of a pre-mine of 1,809,759 AGU as part of the LUQ coin swap, followed by subsequent blocks that provide varying amounts of AGU. The coin distribution model allocates 10% to proof-of-stake (POS) rewards, 88% to masternodes (MN), and 2% to charity (CHAR). POS rewards go to individuals holding coins in active wallets, while MN rewards are given to active masternode holders. The CHAR fund is utilized for charitable works and donations.

The Agouti project has a roadmap that outlines its past achievements and upcoming plans. Notable milestones include the publication of Whitepaper 1.0 in August 2018, the initiation and conclusion of the LUQ/AGU coin swap in September and October 2018, respectively, and activating the web wallet on October 31, 2018. Agouti has also been listed on exchanges such as Crex24 and Cryptobridge. Other planned developments, such as the release of dedicated AGU wallets for Android and Apple devices, have been postponed. The project is preparing for a swap to a new chain in June 2021.
