Balanced Network (BALN)

Balanced Network (BALN) is a finance hub for the ICON Network, providing users with various decentralized finance (DeFi) functionalities. Users can mint Balanced Dollars (bnUSD), a stablecoin equivalent to 1 USD, by leveraging their ICX holdings. They can also swap and supply crypto assets on the decentralized exchange, which features deep liquidity pools for holdings on the ICON Network. By participating in these activities, users can earn Balance Tokens (BALN) and stake them to vote and earn network fees, thus shaping the future of Balanced.

Balanced aims to be a user-friendly DeFi platform designed for adoption. Users can easily swap assets on the decentralized exchange and utilize their ICX holdings as collateral to borrow Balanced Dollars. By staking BALN, users gain voting rights and a share of the network fees. Inflation decreases over time, incentivizing early participation in shaping the future of finance facilitated by Balanced. However, it is important to note that Balanced’s goal of becoming the future of finance is part of a decentralized experiment, and there are no guarantees. Users should exercise caution and use the platform at their own risk.

With Balanced, users can earn up to five types of rewards, including staking rewards, loan rewards, liquidity rewards, network fees, and liquidation rewards. Users can use the platform to participate in the ICON staking rewards program, borrow Balanced Dollars, supply liquidity, and stake Balance Tokens to receive a share of the network fees. Advanced traders can also set up bots to liquidate under-collateralized positions at a discount. It is important to note that automatic staking utilizes a token called sICX, representing a share of the ICX staking pool, and rewards may accumulate at different rates due to fluctuations in the pool.
