Fathom Protocol (FTHM)

Fathom Protocol (FTHM) is a comprehensive DeFi platform offering liquidity solutions to retail and institutional participants. Users can deposit XDC and stake XDC to mint FXD, a stablecoin pegged to the USD, which can be used to access yield opportunities through the platform’s RWA Vaults and Trade Finance Pools. Additionally, users can borrow FXD using their crypto and RWA assets as collateral.

FXD, the Fathom DeFi ecosystem’s stablecoin, is the platform’s key asset. It can be minted using XDC as collateral, and users have flexibility regarding the amount, rebalancing, and repayment of their FXD positions. Repaying FXD positions at any time unlocks the deposited XDC. Apart from minting and borrowing, users can also deposit and borrow FXD on the platform.

Fathom Protocol also features governance through its governance token, FTHM. FTHM holders can lock their tokens in the DAO Vault to actively participate in the protocol’s governance, including proposals related to development, collateral onboarding, and revenue distribution. It’s important to note that FTHM is not involved in backing the FXD stablecoin. The protocol collaborates with trusted asset owners, issuers, custodians, and brokers to provide deep liquidity and sustainable yield opportunities for both retail and institutional investors and borrowers.
