Kapu (KAPU)

Kapu (KAPU) is a revolutionary project combining archaeology and blockchain technology to create a lasting and immutable history of our past. The project aims to preserve and catalog the material traces of history, making them traceable, accessible, and usable by anyone. By leveraging the principles of security and immutability provided by public blockchains, Kapu seeks to create the first archaeological blockchain of modern times.

The project takes inspiration from the Capua coins forged during the Second Punic War. These coins, called Kapu in the Oscus alphabet, were minted in bronze and possibly silver or gold, representing a similar value to the coins circulated by Rome. The Kapu project aims to create a decentralized and secure platform that will not only preserve historical artifacts and knowledge but also provide a tool for the evolution and enhancement of the archaeological sector.

Kapu’s team comprises Italian and international experts who have demonstrated their professional attitude and competence. They have partnered with ARK, SHIFT, and LISK community members, who actively collaborate in developing the project.
