In the Livepeer network, participants worldwide play essential roles in routing and processing video. Orchestrators run Livepeer nodes, transcoding video on GPUs in exchange for broadcasting fees and network rewards. Delegators help secure and improve the network by delegating LPT tokens to the most performant orchestrators, earning a share of their broadcasting fees and network rewards. Livepeer’s network capacity represents access to over 70,000 GPUs, which is enough to encode all the real-time video streaming through popular platforms like Twitch, Facebook, and YouTube combined.
