Commons Earth (COM) is a cryptocurrency that envisions a future where the Earth is recognized and managed as a collective treasure. Earth Commons was incubated as a Sustainable Blockchain Summit within the Filecoin Green Team at Protocol Labs. Today, the Funding the Commons Team continues its mission of transforming the funding and governance of nature’s commons by uniting the forces of Web2, Web3, research, philanthropy, and industry. They aim to harness the power of emerging technologies like AI, Blockchain, and IoT to facilitate incentive alignment, cooperation, and accountability in stewarding Earth’s precious resources. Their vision is to create a world where technology and ecology converge to ensure the just governance of planetary resources and to create new mechanisms for their stewardship.
