CL8Y is a deflationary memecoin designed to fund open-source development and incentivize decentralized finance (DeFi) adoption. Created by the developer Ceramic, CL8Y allows projects leveraging his open-source blockchain tools to automate token purchases for liquidity and burns, ensuring continuous buy pressure while supporting ongoing development.

Launched on March 1, 2025, at 14:00 UTC, CL8Y has a fixed supply of 3,000,000 tokens and implements a no-buy-fee structure (except for an initial anti-sniping mechanism on Binance Smart Chain). At launch, 50% of the supply was allocated to TidalDex (BSC) liquidity, while the remaining 50% was held in Ceramic’s wallet for future project integrations.

CL8Y operates on Binance Smart Chain, with additional Terra Classic and P2B support. On BSC, a dynamic sell-burn mechanism starts at 30% and gradually reduces to 0.25% once the market cap exceeds $10 million, reinforcing deflationary scarcity. Terra Classic and P2B have no transaction fees. The Terra Classic launch is scheduled following the mainnet release of GarudaDex (GDEX).
