OETH (Obyte) is a distributed ledger based on a directed acyclic graph (DAG) that operates without middlemen. Unlike centralized ledgers and blockchains, Obyte’s ledger is decentralized, disintermediated, free, equal, and open. It allows users to add their transactions directly without the need for gatekeepers.
OETH has evolved since its founding by Tony Churyumoff in September 2016. It launched its network on Christmas Day that same year and has since introduced various features and improvements. These include conditional payments, P2P prediction markets, P2P insurance, a bot store, a grants program, a flight delay insurance bot, blackbytes exchanges, cashback merchants, self-sovereign identity, email attestations, fiat on-ramp, IoT demos, and more. OETH continues to grow and innovate within the field of distributed ledger technology.
To download and use OETH, users can access the Obyte (Byteball) app on their devices. OETH offers a range of applications and platforms, including autonomous agents, smart contracts, self-sovereign identity, payment channels, oracles, tokens, and more. Developers can also utilize the OETH technology to create innovative solutions. For further information, users can visit the OETH website or explore the resources and community projects available.
