Canxium (CAU)

Canxium (CAU) is a next-generation Proof of Work (PoW) blockchain that introduces the concept of offline mining. Miners can now work offline and earn rewards for solving cryptographic puzzles. Like traditional block mining, Canxium allows miners to mine on a transaction, and transactions can be made offline. The supply of Canxium native coin is decentralized and driven by market demand. As the demand for Canxium rises, the price experiences an upward trend, motivating more miners to participate in the network and increasing the computational power and mining difficulty. Conversely, when demand decreases, the price declines, reducing mining rewards and leading to a decrease in computational power and mining difficulty to maintain stability.

Canxium offers several noteworthy features, including security and decentralization, as its blockchain is secure and powered by a PoW mechanism. The platform enables offline mining, allowing users to mine Canxium anytime, anywhere, and on any hardware without an internet connection. Transaction fees on Canxium are reasonable and competitive, ensuring low-cost transactions. Additionally, the platform discourages spam contracts by requiring contract creators to pay a minimum of 100 CAU per contract creation.

Canxium has a roadmap outlining its future development plans. The mainnet was launched in May 2023, followed by the launch of the Cerium testnet in December 2023, which made offline mining available for testing purposes. A Hydro hardfork is scheduled for May 2024, removing 0.25 CAU per block and making offline mining available on the mainnet. The roadmap also includes plans for more offline mining algorithms from 2024 to 2025. In 2026, Canxium plans to switch to Proof of Stake (PoS), where offline mining will be the only way to create CAU, and there will be no staking rewards.
