Ziesha (ZSH)

Ziesha (ZSH) is a new layer-1 cryptocurrency that aims to achieve a lighter and more scalable blockchain network. The cryptocurrency utilizes Zero-Knowledge proofs as the backend for its smart contracts, employing zkRollup-like circuits to compress transactions. By expressing smart contracts as mathematical constraints instead of bytecodes, Ziesha aims to simplify the protocol and enhance maintainability.

A Zero Knowledge protocol is a cryptographic method that allows someone to prove knowledge of an answer to a problem without revealing the answer itself. Ziesha leverages this concept to provide a secure and efficient blockchain network. For example, through a series of interactive Zero-Knowledge proofs involving balls of different colors, Ziesha ensures the integrity of transactional data while maintaining privacy.

Unlike other blockchain platforms, Ziesha eliminates the need for a centralized operator in zkRollup implementations. Ziesha achieves data availability and ensures the validity of state transitions by implementing nodes and validators that only accept forks with readily available chain states. This simplifies the network architecture and facilitates creative development opportunities. Ziesha also introduces Zero Contracts, written in R1CS (Rank-1 Constraint System), rather than specific to a virtual machine. These contracts can be invoked with a single transaction, allowing for the compression of thousands of transactions.
