Magma (GMON)

Magma (GMON) is a community-owned Liquid Staking Protocol built on the Monad blockchain, designed to facilitate equitable token distribution through its innovative Points Programs. The protocol is rooted in the principle of community involvement, allowing users to stake their Monad tokens and receive liquid staked tokens known as gMON. These tokens serve as receipts for staked assets and enable holders to actively participate in the decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem while maintaining liquidity.

At its core, Magma harnesses the power of a Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPOS) consensus mechanism, which streamlines the process of staking. When Monad tokens are staked, users receive gMON, which can be utilized across various DeFi applications within the Monad ecosystem for activities such as lending, trading, and liquidity provisioning. The protocol also features MEV-boosted yield, enabled by its fast block engine, maximizing profitability for both validators and gMON holders while enhancing the overall staking experience.
