Blockport

Blockport, formerly known as BUX, is discontinuing its cryptocurrency services and offering clients two options for their cryptocurrency positions. The first option is to migrate their positions to Coinmerce, a DNB-registered Dutch cryptocurrency trading platform, effortlessly and at no charge. Coinmerce focuses on user friendliness and offers a safe and simple experience with over 350 assets. Users can migrate all their current crypto positions (except for the BUX Token) to Coinmerce by giving their consent and agreeing to the terms. The second option is to sell their crypto positions on the BUX platform themselves before March 18, 2024.

If users choose to migrate their positions to Coinmerce, the process involves giving consent, sharing KYC data with Coinmerce, creating a new account, and migrating the assets. Coinmerce will then send an email to users to complete their onboarding process. Once the onboarding is complete, users can log in to their Coinmerce account, and their crypto assets will already be waiting for them.

For users who choose not to migrate to Coinmerce, they can sell their crypto assets on the BUX platform before March 18, 2024. After this date, BUX will still migrate its positions to Coinmerce. Blockport will discontinue the BUX Token utility on March 19, 2024. Still, as a gesture of goodwill, users holding at least 1,000 BUX Tokens in the BUX app as of December 18, 2023, will receive a twelve-month waiver of monthly service fees at BUX and transaction fees on Coinmerce if they choose to migrate.
