Mooney (MOONEY)

Mooney (MOONEY) is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) aiming to decentralize access to space research and exploration. Its mission is to create a self-sustaining, self-governing settlement on the Moon by 2030 as a launch point for humanity’s cosmic exploration. Mooney brings together an international collective of individuals dedicated to making life multi-planetary. They believe that an international, decentralized, inclusive, and transparent organization would best serve the needs of the everyday person.

Mooney upholds values of inclusion, peace, transparency, freedom of organization, and speech. The organization believes that space should be in the hands of the people, not any one nation or private entity. Mooney supports funding for individuals to go to space and funds future space research and exploration. The core team has not pre-mined any tokens for themselves and treats all members equally.

As part of their roadmap, Mooney launched the MOONEY governance token, which coordinates their decentralized decision-making process. They have purchased two tickets to space for their members through Blue Origin, selecting one member through voting and another member randomly through their Ticket To Space NFT Collection. Mooney aims to become the NASA of the 21st century, funding and supporting positive developments on the Moon. They prioritize collaboration and partnership with other space organizations to create an interconnected web of values-aligned initiatives.
