Quicksilver (QCK)

Quicksilver (QCK) is a token built on the Quicksilver Protocol, designed for stakers in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. It offers the Liquid Staking Zone, a custom-built platform for Cosmos, where users can stake their assets with their preferred validator and receive liquid staked assets (qASSETs) in return. These liquid assets can be used for various purposes, such as swapping, pooling, lending, and more, while the original stake continues to earn staking APY and secure the network.

Quicksilver also offers its services to chains, providing easy access to Liquid Staking with zero development work. The platform uses ICA to control stake accounts over IBC, allowing fast and easy onboarding. The Liquidity Staking Module ensures a frictionless user experience by facilitating seamless asset transfers of staked positions. Partner chains can connect to Quicksilver with no custom development work required, ensuring open access to users and liquidity from over 50 IBC-enabled chains.

The QCK token serves as the utility token of Quicksilver, providing holders with ownership of the Quicksilver Protocol. With the QCK token, users can vote in on-chain governance to shape the future of Quicksilver, stake to validators to secure the network and make fee payments for network transactions. Additionally, eligible stakers can look forward to receiving QCK tokens through an airdrop as new chains are onboarded. This decentralized approach aims to ensure that the Quicksilver protocol remains in the hands of the community.
