Copyright & IP Policy

This page explains how Blockspot.io handles intellectual property rights, how to report infringing material, and the responsibilities of parties who submit content to the platform.

Overview

Blockspot.io is a cryptocurrency data aggregator covering 50,000+ coins, exchanges, wallets, and blockchain companies. Our listings include names, descriptions, logos, and other brand assets that are either submitted by projects or collected from publicly available sources.

Blockspot B.V. does not have prior knowledge of the licensing status of third-party content and relies on rights holders to notify us of any alleged infringement.

We respect intellectual property rights and act promptly on valid infringement notices, in line with the EU e-Commerce Directive (Directive 2000/31/EC) and procedures consistent with the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). Because pre-screening every asset at this scale is not reasonably practicable, our approach is built on notice and takedown: if you identify infringing material, notify us and we will investigate and act swiftly. Blockspot B.V. acts in a neutral and passive capacity and does not exercise editorial control over third-party content. Blockspot B.V. does not verify, endorse, or assume responsibility for the accuracy or rights status of third-party content prior to notification.

Third-Party Brand Assets

Logos, trademarks, and other brand assets belonging to third parties are displayed on Blockspot.io for identification and informational purposes only. Their appearance on this platform does not imply endorsement, affiliation, or any licensing arrangement with Blockspot B.V.

Some projects create brand assets using licensed stock imagery, for example a logo designed using a stock library subscription. In such cases, Blockspot B.V. does not have visibility into the underlying licensing arrangements of third-party content and cannot independently verify the rights status of each asset prior to notification.

Blockspot B.V. will delist or remove any asset upon obtaining actual knowledge of infringement through a valid and substantiated notice. We act expeditiously upon receiving valid notices and typically process requests within one to five business days. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Blockspot B.V. does not accept liability for third-party content where it has acted without knowledge of infringement and has taken prompt action upon notification.

Submitter Responsibilities

Anyone submitting content to Blockspot.io - including logos, images, descriptions, or other materials - warrants that they hold, or have obtained, all rights, licenses, and permissions necessary to submit and display that material, and that it does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.

Submitters agree to indemnify Blockspot B.V. against any third-party claims arising from submitted materials that infringe intellectual property rights.

How to Submit a Takedown Notice

To report infringing content, email abuse@blockspot.io with the subject line "IP Takedown Request". Your notice must include all of the following:

Incomplete notices may delay processing. Email to abuse@blockspot.io is the only accepted channel - we do not accept notices by telephone or social media.

Counter-Notice

If you believe material was removed or disabled in error, you may submit a counter-notice to abuse@blockspot.io. Your counter-notice should include: your contact details; identification of the removed material and its URL before removal; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the material was removed by mistake or misidentification; and your consent to jurisdiction of the competent courts.

We will forward valid counter-notices to the original complainant. If no legal proceedings are initiated within ten business days, the material may be restored at our discretion.

Repeat Infringers

Blockspot B.V. reserves the right to permanently delist any listing or block any submitter that is the subject of repeated or egregious IP complaints.
