Hex Trust is a Hong Kong-based institutional digital asset custodian founded in 2018. The company focuses exclusively on institutional clients, including asset managers, banks, financial institutions, token issuers, and Web3 projects. Its proprietary platform, Hex Safe, provides a single interface for custody, staking, DeFi access, token wrapping, and governance participation.
Hex Trust holds regulatory licenses and registrations across multiple jurisdictions. It is licensed by Hong Kong’s SFC, holds in-principle approval from Singapore’s MAS, and is registered with Dubai’s VARA, Italy’s OAM, France’s AMF, and in Bermuda. The platform has completed SOC 1, SOC 2, and CSA STAR Level 2 audits, reflecting its compliance-first positioning for institutional clients.
Beyond custody, Hex Trust offers a suite of institutional services. Markets+ covers OTC execution, fiat on/off-ramps, lending, and strategic solutions. Staking services include institutional staking and validator-as-a-service across supported proof-of-stake networks. The company also operates Aura by Hex Trust, a wealth management platform for high-net-worth individuals and family offices, and a Convert-to-Pay API enabling institutions to accept digital assets with fiat settlement.
Hex Safe supports over 25 blockchain networks, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Polygon, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Cosmos, Algorand, Hedera, XRP Ledger, Polkadot, Tezos, Flare, and TON, along with thousands of ERC-20 and network-native tokens. Hex Trust is not a consumer or self-custody wallet; all assets are held under the company’s regulated custodial model.
