Edcoin (EDC)

Edcoin (EDC) is a decentralized finance (DeFi) token that aims to empower individuals by giving them financial control, enabling them to store and grow wealth collectively. As a deflationary ERC-20 governance token issued on the Ethereum Network, Edcoin powers various products and services within its ecosystem, with more additions planned for the future. The project offers an all-in-one application called the Master Edcoin Wallet (ME Wallet) that supersedes previous web apps and provides users with an intuitive and comprehensive experience. Currently, ME Wallet is available on the Google Playstore for Android phone users, with a web app version slated for release in Q3 of 2023.

Edcoin offers several key features to its users. One such feature is staking, which allows individuals to stake their Edcoin tokens directly from their Edcoin wallet or other supported wallets, such as Trust and Metamask, and earn daily rewards. Additionally, Edcoin provides a marketplace where users can swap their Edcoin tokens for Endpoints. This native currency can pay for products and services within the EDMARK Ecosystem and partner merchants. Edmark City, an ambitious real estate development project in Nigeria, is also part of the Edcoin initiative and aims to become the first crypto city and blockchain hub in Africa.

The Edcoin roadmap highlights the project’s progress and plans. Since its relaunch in 2018, Edcoin has achieved several milestones, including integrating Edcoin into the EDPOINTS App, launching the Edcoin Wallet, and listing Edcoin on Uniswap and WhiteBit. The roadmap also includes upcoming initiatives, such as launching the Master Edcoin Wallet in phases and various programs focused on smart staking, NFTs, Play2Earn, and the Metaverse.
