Step Hero Soul (STEP)

Step Hero Soul (STEP) is a BEP-20 token issued on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) under contract address 0x0CCA95FD87441DCD90fDDB4e34526C1B3cc6F660. The token launched as part of the Step Hero project, an early Binance Smart Chain play-to-earn role-playing game built around character NFTs and an in-game crypto economy. Within the project, STEP, short for Step Hero Soul, served as the secondary “soul” token for upgrades, gameplay rewards, and crafting, alongside the project’s primary HERO token for governance and broader treasury actions.

The Step Hero universe combined hero NFTs, dungeon-style PvE content, marketplace trading, and a staking layer designed to keep tokens earning while players were inactive. STEP was intended to circulate inside the game economy, with sinks tied to character upgrades, equipment, and limited-time events, while HERO acted as the higher-tier governance and yield token. Like many BSC play-to-earn projects launched during the 2021 to 2022 GameFi wave, Step Hero’s user base contracted sharply once early token incentives ran out, and the team eventually pivoted away from the game. The original studio’s later product line was rebranded under the FxBox name, which itself now redirects to a separate trading-tools site unrelated to Step Hero.

At the contract level, STEP has a total supply of roughly 80.5 million tokens with 18 decimal precision, and the on-chain contract remains live on BSC for transfer purposes even though active development has ceased. The Step Hero website at stephero.io is offline at the time of writing, with no working replacement, and the token’s market activity has dwindled to negligible volume across the surviving DEX pools. The remaining social channels on X, Telegram, and Discord still exist but are largely inactive. Anyone evaluating STEP today should treat it as a historical artifact of the early BSC GameFi era rather than an active project.
