Wrapped TurtleCoin (WTRTL) is a cryptocurrency that functions as a wrapped version of TurtleCoin. It is built on the TurtleCoin v1 software and network and serves as the next iteration of the TurtleCoin community. By migrating their funds to WTRTL, users can continue to participate in the ecosystem.
With the network shutdown of the original TurtleCoin on March 15, 2023, transacting on the network is no longer possible. The final release of TurtleCoin v1 software and network, version 1.0.1, includes bug fixes and housekeeping items to ensure a smooth transition. It also marks the end of life for this iteration of TurtleCoin and the beginning of the wTRTL era.
Users are encouraged to migrate their funds to wTRTL immediately. While support for this software will be provided on a volunteer basis until block 5,500,000, it is recommended to swap funds over to wTRTL sooner rather than later. The TurtleCoin community hopes users will stick around and continue to mine in the wTRTL era.
