XRP20 (XRP20)

XRP20 (ticker: XRP20) was an ERC-20 token launched on the Ethereum blockchain in August 2023. It has no connection to XRP, the Ripple network, or Ripple Labs. The name was chosen deliberately to evoke the XRP brand and to market the token as a way to buy XRP at its original 2014 price of $0.000005. The project ran a presale from July 31 to August 15, 2023, raising funds before opening on exchanges on August 22, 2023. XRP20 is an entirely separate asset built on a different blockchain (Ethereum, using the ERC-20 standard) from the XRP Ledger.

The token core mechanics included a stake-to-earn model: holders could lock tokens to earn newly emitted XRP20 at a rate of 3,750 tokens per Ethereum block over a four-year schedule. A deflationary burn mechanism was also built into transfers: 0.1% of each transaction was permanently destroyed, and 10% of the total supply was reserved for the burn pool. Total supply stands at approximately 95 billion tokens. XRP20 reached its all-time high of around $0.0029 on January 27, 2024, before declining sharply. As of mid-2025, the price has fallen more than 99% from that peak.

The official project website, xrp20coin.com, went offline in late 2024 and no longer serves content. Development activity and social communications have ceased. XRP20 is listed here for historical reference and on-chain data access only. Investors who participated in the presale or purchased on secondary markets at elevated prices experienced significant losses as the project wound down.
