Sherolex

Sherolex was a centralized cryptocurrency spot exchange registered in the British Virgin Islands, launched in 2018. The platform supported trading in major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Dash, alongside a growing selection of ERC-20 tokens. It marketed itself as a beginner-friendly venue with a tiered fee model that adjusted maker and taker rates between roughly 0.06% and 0.25% based on trading volume, and processed deposits without an additional fee on top of the underlying network costs.

Beyond standard spot trading, Sherolex promoted a few features uncommon for a small exchange. These included margin trading, free peer-to-peer coin transfers between user accounts, and a coin listing application portal where users could submit requests for new assets. The exchange operated a single public website at sherolex.com and ran community channels on Telegram and Twitter under the sherolex314 handle. Although registered in a recognised offshore jurisdiction, Sherolex was never licensed by a major regulator and published little information about its legal entity, ownership, or proof-of-reserves.

By early 2026 the sherolex.com domain stopped responding entirely and the trading platform was no longer reachable, marking the effective end of operations after roughly eight years. No formal shutdown announcement appeared on the remaining social channels at the time the site went offline. Anyone with assets still custodied on Sherolex when it went dark should treat those funds as inaccessible and attempt to reach the operator through the legacy Telegram and Twitter accounts, while keeping records of the original account, deposit history, and any open balances for documentation purposes.
