What is Internet of Coins?
Internet of Coins is a Netherlands-based non-profit foundation that develops open-source tools for decentralized finance. Its wallet runs on the Hybrix platform, an economic operating system designed to handle transactions across multiple blockchain ledgers simultaneously. All operations are processed client-side on the user’s device, meaning no private keys or personal data are ever stored on a server.
Custody: non-custodial.
Supported networks include Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance Chain, XRP, Litecoin, Waves, and Nxt, plus hundreds of additional assets across a total of 374 chains and 374 tokens. Cross-chain transfers and federated swaps are built in, allowing users to exchange assets between different blockchains without intermediaries or centralized order books.
As a registered non-profit, Internet of Coins keeps all code open-source under permissive licenses and has received backing from SIDN, the NLnet Foundation, and the Internet Archive. Founded: 2014. Development continues under the Hybrix brand, with node software and a JavaScript API available for developers building multi-chain applications.
