What is Swirlwallet?
“Swirl Wallet is an easy-to-use Digital wallet you can store and send Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Ethereum, Zcash, Doge, and Monero.”
Swirl Wallet was a Romanian-based software wallet that offered a web-based interface for managing a curated set of established cryptocurrencies. Its design aimed at accessibility, letting users store and transfer coins across seven distinct networks from a single account without requiring a desktop installation. During its active period, Windows and Chrome Extension clients were listed as in development, pointing to a roadmap that intended to expand beyond the browser.
The wallet supported Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Litecoin (LTC), Ethereum (ETH), Zcash (ZEC), Dogecoin (DOGE), and Monero (XMR), covering a range of proof-of-work coins as well as privacy-focused assets. By supporting Monero and Zcash alongside more widely used coins, Swirl Wallet catered to users with an interest in transaction privacy. A built-in coin conversion feature was also noted as being in development, suggesting the team planned to add in-app swapping capabilities.
The swirlwallet.com domain is no longer reachable, and the project appears to have been discontinued. No official announcement regarding the shutdown has been located.
Quick facts: Based in Romania. Web wallet (browser-based); Windows app and Chrome Extension were listed as in development. Supported seven coins: BTC, BCH, LTC, ETH, ZEC, DOGE, and XMR. Status: Offline (shutdown date unknown).
