Babelfish (FISH)

BabelFish ($FISH) is a decentralized stablecoin aggregation protocol built on the Rootstock (RSK) blockchain. Its core function is to aggregate and redistribute USD-pegged stablecoins across multiple blockchain networks through its meta-stablecoin, XUSD. XUSD is collateralized 1:1 by a diversified basket of accepted stablecoins, allowing users to deposit existing stablecoins and receive XUSD equivalents that function across supported protocols and chains. The protocol positions itself as a translation layer for the fragmented stablecoin ecosystem, aiming to unify cross-chain liquidity under a single interface.

BabelFish operates as a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), with decisions governed by holders of the FISH governance token. Token holders can submit and vote on improvement proposals, including which stablecoins to accept as collateral, how to allocate the budget, and which partnerships to pursue. The stablecoin market is characterized by a small number of dominant USD-pegged assets controlling the majority of supply. BabelFish addresses this fragmentation by acting as a conversion layer between multiple stablecoins across different chains, giving users access to combined stablecoin liquidity without managing separate assets on separate networks.

The FISH token has a maximum and total supply of 420 million, with all 420 million in circulation as of 2026. BabelFish is deployed on Rootstock, a Bitcoin sidechain supporting EVM-compatible smart contracts, with the FISH contract at 0x055a902303746382fbb7d18f6ae0df56efdc5213 and the XUSD stablecoin at 0xb5999795be0ebb5bab23144aa5fd6a02d080299f on the RSK network.
