QLC Chain (QLC)

QLC Chain, previously marketed under the Qlink brand, was a decentralized network sharing platform built as a token on the NEO blockchain. Launched in December 2017, the project aimed to create open-source infrastructure to distribute unused mobile data, WiFi hotspot access, and SMS capacity among participants. The QLC token served as the ecosystem’s native utility token, facilitating payments between data providers and consumers on the network.

The platform proposed a peer-to-peer telecommunications model in which individual users and operators could monetize idle network resources through smart contracts. The project outlined a roadmap that included transitioning from a NEO-based token to its own standalone QLC Chain mainnet, featuring a Nano Proof of Stake (NPoS) consensus mechanism. Service agreements, data routing, and resource allocation were to be governed programmatically via on-chain logic.

The total and maximum supply of QLC was fixed at 600 million tokens, distributed during the ICO phase in late 2017. Development activity was hosted on GitHub under the qlinkdev account. The official website qlcchain.org went offline in November 2024, and there has been no indication of continued development since then. The project is considered inactive, though historical price and contract data remain accessible via the NEO blockchain explorer.
