What is Micro Lumens?
Micro Lumens is an XLM web wallet. Micro Lumens is a quick and easy way to handle Lumens. It’s a simple, smooth, and secure wallet. Micro Lumens supports every asset issued on the Stellar network: tethered assets, ICOs, and airdrop tokens. And, of course, XLM.
Micro Lumens implemented a non-custodial architecture in which secret keys were never stored on its servers. The source code was published openly on GitHub, allowing users to inspect the key management and transaction signing logic directly. The wallet operated as a web application, meaning no installation was required, and users could access their Stellar accounts from any modern browser.
Beyond basic XLM transfers, Micro Lumens supported the full range of Stellar network primitives, including trustline management for adding custom Stellar assets and a built-in activation gift mechanism to help new users cover the minimum account reserve required by the Stellar protocol. The project also issued its own native token, MICRO, tradeable on the Stellar decentralized exchange (SDEX). Development activity on the public repository ran from November 2021 through December 2021, with 62 commits recorded before the project went offline.
Quick facts: Launched 2021. Web-based (browser, no install required). Non-custodial: private keys never held by the service. Supported all Stellar network assets including XLM, tethered assets, ICO tokens, and airdrop tokens, plus the project’s own MICRO token on the SDEX. Status: Offline (website unreachable as of 2022; last GitHub commit December 2021).
