NGRAVE ZERO

NGRAVE ZERO is an air-gapped hardware wallet developed by Hestara SRL, founded in Belgium in 2018. It holds CC EAL7 certification, the highest level in the Common Criteria security framework, making it one of the most rigorously certified devices in the hardware wallet category. The device runs a proprietary operating system built from scratch, with no dependency on general-purpose mobile or embedded OS components.

The ZERO is fully offline: no USB data transfer, no Bluetooth, no Wi-Fi, no NFC, no 4G. A USB-C port is present only for charging and firmware updates. Transaction signing happens on-device and is communicated to the companion app via QR codes, keeping private keys isolated from any networked environment. The 4-inch LCD touchscreen (IP55-rated) and a fingerprint sensor are the primary interface.

Key security features include multi-layer tamper protection with internal sensors and a proprietary key generation scheme called the Perfect Key: a 64-character hexadecimal value convertible to a standard 24-word BIP39 mnemonic. The device supports passphrase-protected hidden wallets and up to 100 accounts. Offline backup is handled separately via the NGRAVE GRAPHENE, a stainless steel plate.

The companion mobile app, NGRAVE LIQUID, handles transaction initiation and portfolio overview without exposing private keys. The wallet integrates with MetaMask and Rabby Wallet for DeFi operations. In October 2024, NGRAVE confirmed the ZERO’s QR-only signing model was not affected by the Dark Skippy class of attack.

Supported blockchains include Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Solana, and MultiversX, plus all ERC-20 and ESDT tokens. Total supported assets exceed 3,500 coins and tokens. Ethereum-based NFTs are also supported.
