Bandwidth AI (BPS) was an ERC-20 token on the Ethereum blockchain, issued under the ticker BPS with a total supply of 1,000,000 tokens. The project marketed itself as a platform for monetizing unused internet bandwidth, positioning BPS as the reward currency paid to participants who shared their idle connection capacity with AI companies for model training purposes. The project operated a browser extension that enabled users to connect an ERC-20 wallet and begin sharing bandwidth without creating a traditional account.

The platform’s model relied on aggregating shared residential bandwidth and reselling it to artificial intelligence companies that required diverse IP addresses and connection types for training data collection. Participants were compensated in BPS tokens proportional to the volume of bandwidth contributed. A referral system was also built into the dashboard to incentivize user growth. The BPS token had no stated maximum supply beyond the 1,000,000 initial total, and no vesting schedules or tokenomics documentation were publicly available.

The project’s website (bandwidtheth.com) went offline in May 2025, and the token is no longer actively traded on major exchanges. CoinPaprika lists the token as inactive. The ERC-20 contract remains verifiable on Etherscan at address 0x46947241be767bd05dc843755a991265170dac27. No team information or official shutdown announcement was published prior to the site going offline.
