About Rincoin
Rincoin (RIN) is a Proof-of-Work (PoW) digital asset with a fair launch — no pre-mine, no ICO. Built on the Bitcoin → Litecoin codebase, it is designed as a decentralized, long-horizon store of value that prioritizes broad distribution and operational resilience.
Difficulty retargets every block via the Dark Gravity Wave (DGWv3) algorithm, keeping average block production stable through hashrate swings. With 60-second blocks, Rincoin produces blocks about 10x more often than Bitcoin while building on the same time-tested consensus design.
Mining uses RinHash (BLAKE3 → Argon2d → SHA3-256). Its memory-hard Argon2d stage favors general-purpose hardware in the early distribution phase, supporting a broad and fair initial issuance. As with Litecoin’s Scrypt, this is a launch-phase property: if RinHash ASICs emerge, the algorithm does not change — consensus rules remain stable and predictable.
The monetary policy sets a hard cap of 168,000,000 RIN (8x Bitcoin’s nominal supply cap), while the effective circulating supply is modeled to converge toward ~21M RIN. Issuance follows a Customized Halving schedule. Rather than relying on tail emissions or uncapped inflation, a long-term research framework (Proof of Rinne) proposes recycling dormant coins into the security budget over a century-scale horizon — addressing the “security budget” problem without breaking the hard cap.
Rincoin’s security is an emergent property of its decentralized participants — not a promise from a foundation.
