What is Ambire Wallet?

Ambire Wallet is a self-custody Web3 wallet built around account abstraction, supporting both Externally Owned Accounts (EOA) and Smart Accounts within a single interface. Developed by the team behind AdEx Network, it was among the earliest wallets to ship a production account abstraction implementation. The wallet is open-source and has undergone multiple independent security audits.

Ambire supports ERC-4337 smart accounts and EIP-7702, which brings smart wallet capabilities to standard EOA accounts without migration. Native support for Safe multisig accounts was added in 2026. Key features include a Gas Tank for prepaying transaction fees with any supported token, transaction batching to combine multiple operations into a single on-chain action, sponsored transactions to skip gas on supported networks, and removal of repetitive ERC-20 approval steps.

The wallet is available as a browser extension for Chrome, Brave, Edge, Firefox, Opera, and Arc, plus a web app. Hardware wallets supported include Ledger, Trezor, and Grid+ Lattice1.

Supported EVM-compatible networks include Ethereum, Base, Optimism, Arbitrum, Scroll, BNB Chain, and Gnosis, with additional custom EVM chains configurable via RPC. Non-EVM chains such as Bitcoin and Solana are planned but not yet live.

The $WALLET token is the governance and utility token for the Ambire ecosystem. Holders vote on protocol decisions through on-chain proposals covering fees and staking programs. The token benefits from a buyback and burn mechanism funded by protocol revenues and can be used as a network fee token across supported chains.
