APENFT (NFT)

APENFT (NFT) is the native token of AINFT, a platform originally launched in 2021 as APENFT to bring notable artworks onto the blockchain as non-fungible tokens, later rebranded to AINFT to reflect a pivot toward artificial intelligence. The project runs primarily on the TRON blockchain, with token deployments also present on BNB Smart Chain and Ethereum, and it has been closely tied to TRON founder Justin Sun and the TRON Foundation since its founding.

AINFT’s stated aim is to move beyond static digital collectibles by combining NFTs with AI, positioning the platform as part of TRON’s AI infrastructure, where autonomous agents can create, trade, and govern digital assets within a decentralized Web3 ecosystem. Earlier development relied on the BitTorrent File System for decentralized artwork storage and the BitTorrent Chain for cross-chain interoperability, and the platform hosted digitized works from prominent traditional artists alongside digital-native NFT creators.

The NFT token functions as a governance and utility asset: holders can vote on platform proposals, participate in profit-sharing and airdrops, and use the token in lending and borrowing activity through integrations such as JustLend DAO. Total supply is extremely large, in the trillions, which keeps the per-token price at a small fraction of a cent despite an active market capitalization.
