Asentum (ASE)

Asentum (ASE) is a post-quantum layer-one blockchain designed to deliver a robust alternative to existing cryptocurrency infrastructures. It is distinguished by its utilization of quantum-safe signatures from the outset, employing the ML-DSA-65 (Dilithium3) standard. This ensures that every generated signature is secure against quantum attacks. Asentum leverages plain JavaScript for its smart contracts, making it accessible to a vast pool of developers while also emphasizing immutability and verifiability through straightforward hash comparisons. With a block finality time of just two seconds, Asentum seeks to combine high performance with advanced security.

The platform features a fully decentralized validator network that enables users to run validator clients on consumer-grade hardware, such as a Raspberry Pi, rather than requiring expensive infrastructures typical of other blockchains. Approximately 100 validators operate through a rotating, permissionless committee, maintaining the chain’s health and responsiveness while ensuring participation is open to anyone with compatible equipment. Asentum’s governance model allows ASE holders to vote on protocol upgrades and other essential network parameters, promoting transparency and community involvement in the ecosystem’s evolution.

Asentum is currently in the public testnet phase, demonstrating significant operational capabilities with over 115,000 blocks produced across various global validators.
