BitClassic (B2C)

BitClassic (B2C) launched in early 2018 as an independent blockchain, originally positioned as a “second generation of Bitcoin.” The network used the Scrypt hashing algorithm in a hybrid Proof-of-Work and Proof-of-Stake design, with a hard cap of 21,000,000 B2C, 64-second block times, a 25-coin block reward, and an advertised staking yield of roughly 7% per year for holders running the official BitClassic-Qt wallet.

Project status: discontinued. All public development and community activity stopped in 2018. The official GitHub organisation at github.com/bitclassic-B2C received its last commit in April 2018, and the Twitter account @classic_bit went silent in November 2018. No active exchange tracks B2C, the original block explorer no longer responds, and no working liquidity, mining pools, or staking infrastructure can be found. Circulating supply is frozen at roughly 11.5 million B2C, well below the 21 million cap, reflecting that block emission halted long before the scheduled maximum was reached.

Original domain has been repurposed. The website at bitclassic.org no longer belongs to the BitClassic team. Wayback Machine snapshots show the genuine “Second Generation of Bitcoin” project site through 2018, an unrelated free e-books portal by late 2020, and a generic crypto and online-gambling content blog from 2024 onward. The domain has been taken over by new owners with no connection to the B2C cryptocurrency, so it should not be treated as the official source for the project.

BitClassic (B2C) is preserved here as a historical archive entry. The token is no longer tradable, the network is no longer maintained, and any current website using the BitClassic name should be considered unrelated to the original blockchain project.
