Cronos Bridged USDC (Cronos) (USDC)

Cronos Bridged USDC (USDC) is a bridged version of Circle’s USD-pegged stablecoin that circulates on the Cronos blockchain, the network built by Crypto.com. Rather than being issued natively on Cronos, this token is minted as a CRC-20 asset (Cronos’ equivalent of ERC-20) when USDC is locked on another chain and transferred across via a cross-chain bridge, with its value pegged 1:1 to the US dollar.

Each unit is backed by the corresponding amount of USDC held in bridge contracts, and it is typically redeemable back to native USDC by reversing the bridging process. Since the rollout of Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol and native, regulated USDC issuance directly on Cronos, this bridged form is increasingly treated as a legacy variant, with liquidity gradually migrating toward the natively issued token while the bridged version continues to trade on Cronos-based decentralized exchanges.
