Lido Staked SOL (STSOL)

Lido Staked SOL (STSOL) is a liquid staking token that represented Solana (SOL) deposited into the Lido on Solana protocol, a liquid staking program originally launched by Chorus One in 2021 and later operated by P2P Validator under Lido DAO governance. Users who staked SOL through the protocol received STSOL on the Solana blockchain as a tradable receipt for their underlying stake, with the token’s value accruing daily as the delegated SOL earned validator rewards, minus a protocol fee. STSOL could be held, traded, or used as collateral in Solana DeFi without waiting through SOL’s native unstaking period.

Lido DAO voted in October 2023 to sunset Lido on Solana due to unsustainable operating costs, halting new deposits and winding down the product; the official Solana staking frontend was retired in February 2024, after which remaining holders were directed to command-line or third-party tools to unstake and redeem their underlying SOL. STSOL therefore now functions as a legacy, non-custodial claim on Solana staked through the discontinued Lido program rather than an actively maintained product.
