Luffy Inu (LUFFY) is an ERC-20 meme token on the Ethereum blockchain, launched during the 2021 wave of anime-inspired cryptocurrency projects. The token drew its identity from Monkey D. Luffy, the protagonist of the popular manga and anime series One Piece, positioning itself within a broader trend of pop culture and character-themed tokens that gained traction alongside the rise of decentralized finance. With a total supply of 100 quadrillion tokens, Luffy Inu followed the ultra-high-supply model common to meme tokens of that era, which typically aimed to keep individual unit prices low to appeal to retail buyers.

The project described itself as a deflationary token with community-building ambitions, including plans for an anime-themed NFT marketplace and staking features. It later expanded its ecosystem branding to include a Web3 social platform called Animebook, a staking product, and an AI content tool, all presented under the luffytoken.com domain. The token was traded on decentralized exchanges such as Uniswap and was listed on several smaller centralized exchanges, including MEXC, BitMart, and Bitrue. A migration from an earlier contract version to a V2 contract took place in April 2022, consolidating it with related anime-themed tokens.

By late 2024, trading activity had declined sharply, and the project’s market capitalization had fallen to below $700,000. Circulating supply stood at approximately 66.8 quadrillion tokens out of a maximum of 100 quadrillion, reflecting the scale of the original issuance.
