Shrapnel (SHRAP)

Shrapnel (SHRAP) was the farm reward token of fBOMB Finance, a decentralized finance project that launched on the Fantom Opera blockchain in 2021. fBOMB Finance built BombSwap, a native Fantom automated market maker (AMM) focused exclusively on Opera-network projects. Shrapnel served as the ecosystem’s liquidity-incentive token, earned by staking liquidity provider (LP) positions in BombSwap farming pools. It had a hard-capped maximum supply, originally set at 8,888 tokens through community vote, with final emissions halting at approximately 9,964 tokens before farming was suspended. This is an entirely separate project from the Neon Machine Shrapnel AAA first-person shooter game and its associated token on the Avalanche network.

The fBOMB Finance ecosystem launched in March 2021 as the first independently issued token on Fantom Opera. The main BOMB token was deflationary, burning 1% of every transaction. Shrapnel functioned as the inflationary counterpart: a farm token distributed to liquidity providers as an incentive, with single-side SHRAP stakers also receiving a share of fees generated across all fBOMB projects. BombSwap was designed to support Fantom’s early DeFi growth by concentrating liquidity in native Opera assets. The project was revived in 2021 by the Millennium Club (MCLB) DAO after the original developer stepped away, and the MCLB DAO continued managing both the BOMB and SHRAP tokens under a ve(3,3) governance model.

By 2024, BombSwap farming had been offline for an extended period with no fixed restart date, and the fbomb.finance website went offline in October 2024. The SHRAP token has no active trading market and is priced at zero. No development activity has been recorded since. The project is considered defunct. The circulating supply figure reported in some databases (1.49 billion) is incorrect; the actual token count at the time emissions halted was approximately 9,964 SHRAP.
