SmartMesh (SMT)

SmartMesh (SMT) is a blockchain-based underlying protocol of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Internet of Everything (IoE) era. By utilizing blockchain technology and token incentives, SmartMesh enables the formation of decentralized Mesh Networks that are agile, self-repairing and have higher speeds and bandwidth than standard internet connections. These networks provide safer, faster, and more convenient off-internet payments, transactions, and communications.

The SmartMesh ecosystem includes Spectrum, a decentralized platform with a new consensus mechanism and block incentive system designed for the SmartMesh ecosystem and IoT devices. SmartMesh also incorporates SmartRaiden, an open-source technology that enables decentralized, real-time, safe, convenient, low-fee, off-chain, and offline cryptocurrency transfers and transactions. The protocol also features self-forming networks, allowing users to create wireless mesh networks with multi-hop functionality to overcome connectivity challenges.

Users who contribute to the SmartMesh network by establishing and transmitting data through a Mesh network are rewarded with SMT tokens. The decentralized nature of SmartMesh ensures that data traffic stays local within the mesh network, conserving resources, reducing leaks, and preventing electricity waste.
