USD1 (USD1)

USD1 (USD1) is a US dollar pegged stablecoin issued by World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a decentralized finance venture, and minted onchain by regulated digital asset custodian BitGo Trust Company, which handles all issuance, custody, minting, and redemption of the token. Launched in March 2025 on Ethereum and BNB Chain, USD1 has since expanded to more than a dozen blockchain networks, including Tron and others, allowing it to move across ecosystems for payments, lending, and trading.

Each USD1 token is redeemable 1:1 for US dollars and is fully collateralized by short term US Treasury securities, cash deposits, and other cash equivalents held by BitGo, with monthly reserve attestations published by an independent accounting firm and a live onchain proof of reserves dashboard for transparency. Minting occurs when an institutional counterparty wires dollars to BitGo’s reserve accounts, after which an equivalent amount of USD1 is credited onchain, with the reverse process burning tokens upon redemption.
