What is Aladdin Wallet?
Aladdin Wallet was the native mobile cryptocurrency wallet of ABBC Foundation, a Dubai-based blockchain company established in January 2018. The wallet launched in mid-2018 as a rebrand of the earlier ABBC MC Wallet and was developed under the MC ABBC IT SOLUTION entity. It served as the primary storage and payment tool within the ABBC Coin ecosystem, allowing users to send, receive, and manage digital assets on iOS and Android devices.
The wallet operated on a self-custody model, giving users full control over their funds through a mnemonic seed phrase. Security features included biometric authentication, facial recognition, email verification, and cloud backup and restore. A distinctive feature called handover beneficiary lets users designate a recipient for their assets, and resource management tools allow holders to allocate CPU, NET, and RAM on the ABBC mainnet. By staking ABBC Coin, users could conduct zero-cost transactions within the network.
Aladdin Wallet supported Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, and Qtum alongside ABBC Coin, with additional coins added periodically. It also handled ERC-20 tokens and supported ABBC cross-chain swaps across Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Fantom, and Avalanche. The ABBC blockchain was initially a Bitcoin fork and transitioned to the EOSIO framework in August 2019, enabling throughput of over 5,000 transactions per second.
In November 2019, ABBC Foundation released Aladdin Pro Wallet as a successor product targeting professional traders. Aladdin Pro operated on a custodial model, with transactions subject to admin approval, and added a 6-digit passcode and unique device identification. Users of the original Aladdin Wallet were directed to migrate their balances to Aladdin Pro starting in December 2019. Aladdin Pro was later removed from the App Store.
The abbcfoundation.com website went offline in April 2025, and neither Aladdin Wallet nor Aladdin Pro remains operational. The ABBC ecosystem, including the Buyaladdin shopping platform and the DOMINO decentralized exchange, has also ceased active development.
