Bankera

Bankera is a digital banking service that operates as a mobile-first custodial wallet, aimed at users who want a simple way to hold, send, and spend euros alongside crypto-related features. The platform shares its operational team with SpectroCoin, a crypto exchange launched in Lithuania in 2013, and is operated through Finalify Ltd, registered in the British Virgin Islands. Bankera originated from a 2017 token sale that raised funds for a planned blockchain bank concept, before pivoting to its current model of providing personal IBAN accounts, VISA debit cards, and digital payment tools through a smartphone app.

The wallet offers a range of financial services through mobile apps for iOS and Android as well as a web wallet:

• Euro-denominated personal IBAN accounts for receiving salary payments, SEPA transfers, and payment requests via email or phone number
• Physical and virtual VISA debit cards linked directly to the account balance for everyday spending in stores and online
• Transaction history, budgeting overviews, and account management via the app and web wallet
• Crypto-to-fiat conversion through integration with SpectroCoin, where users can buy or sell digital assets and move balances into their Bankera IBAN
• Business accounts with payment processing capabilities for commercial users

Custody: custodial. The platform retains control of user funds and accounts can be frozen or restricted in line with applicable financial regulations. The associated BNK utility token from the 2017 ICO has seen minimal trading activity in recent years and migrated from its original v1 contract to a v2 contract address on Ethereum. Availability is limited to specific jurisdictions, with the service unavailable to residents of the United States and several other regions. Account opening is free, but users should review the published fee schedule before transacting, as withdrawal, card, and currency conversion fees apply.
