What is E-POCKET?
E-Pocket is an Australian-based international money transfer service, registered with AUSTRAC since 2018 and operating for over eight years. The platform is accessible via iOS and Android apps as well as a dedicated web portal, targeting individuals and businesses that need to send money across borders, particularly within the Australian diaspora market.
Users can send funds to over 100 countries in more than 60 currencies. The service operates on a custodial model: senders add funds to their E-Pocket account balance before initiating a transfer, with E-Pocket holding the funds temporarily until the transaction is completed. Recipients receive payouts through local bank transfer and other country-specific methods. The company operates an Australian support line and lists an active customer registration system on its website.
Note: earlier descriptions of E-Pocket referenced cryptocurrency wallet functionality, peer-to-peer crypto payments via QR code, and an EPT utility token used for transaction fee discounts and loyalty programs. As of 2025, the live e-pocket.com website shows no cryptocurrency or token-related features. The original e-pocket.com.au domain now redirects to e-pocket.com, where the product is positioned entirely as a fiat remittance service. Whether the crypto layer was withdrawn or never reached full launch is not confirmed by public sources.
