What is HB Wallet?
HB Wallet is a non-custodial multichain cryptocurrency wallet developed by Bacoor, a Japan-based blockchain company established in early 2017. Originally launched in July 2017 as an Ethereum-focused wallet, it has since expanded into a full multichain solution and is among the more widely used crypto wallets in Japan. The wallet’s website has migrated to hbwallet.app and the project remains actively maintained as of 2024.
HB Wallet is available on iOS and Android. Earlier versions supported Windows and Mac desktop clients, but current releases focus on mobile platforms. The wallet connects to decentralized applications through WalletConnect, allowing users to interact with any compatible DApp directly from the app.
Supported networks:
- Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana
- Any EVM-compatible chain, including layer-2 networks: Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, Avalanche, and Fantom
- Associated tokens including USDT and USDC
A built-in cross-chain swap feature lets users exchange assets across supported networks without leaving the app.
Key features:
- Multi-wallet management
- Integrated DEX for cross-chain swaps
- NFT portfolio viewing
- DApp browser access via WalletConnect
- Market trend monitoring
Custody: non-custodial. Private keys are held by the user. HB Wallet targets users who want a single mobile interface for managing assets across Ethereum and its ecosystem of EVM-compatible chains alongside Bitcoin and Solana.
