What is O3?

O3 Wallet is a self-custody cryptocurrency wallet developed by O3 Labs, a blockchain software company founded in Tokyo in 2017. The wallet launched originally as a native mobile application for the NEO smart economy, becoming one of the most widely used wallets on that network. After the founding team was acquired by Bitcoin.com in 2019, a new O3 Labs team continued independent development, eventually expanding the wallet well beyond its NEO roots into a cross-chain platform.

Custody: non-custodial. Private keys are stored locally on the user’s device and are never transmitted to or held by O3 Labs. No account registration is required.

Platforms:

  • iOS
  • Android
  • Windows
  • macOS
  • Linux

In 2021, O3 Labs launched O3 Swap, a cross-chain aggregation protocol that pools liquidity from multiple decentralized exchanges across different blockchains. That same year, a hack on the Poly Network protocol, which O3 Swap had relied on for cross-chain transfers, temporarily suspended cross-chain functionality. The stolen funds were ultimately returned by the attacker. O3 Labs subsequently rebuilt its cross-chain infrastructure around OMO Swap, a zero-slippage bridge and aggregator using Circle’s Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) and Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP).

Supported networks:

  • Ethereum
  • BNB Chain
  • Polygon
  • Arbitrum
  • Avalanche
  • OKC
  • Heco
  • NEO
  • Custom networks (14+ EVM-compatible chains in total)

Built-in features include:

  • DEX aggregator for competitive swap rates
  • Fiat on-ramp for purchasing crypto with cards
  • Staking access
  • dApp browser for interacting with decentralized applications
  • 3-in-1 Auto-shift combining swap, bridge, and gas station functions in a single step

The wallet has attracted more than 150,000 users globally and received an update in late 2025.
