Swiss Bank In Your Pocket

Swiss Bank In Your Pocket (SBIYP) was a hardware cryptocurrency wallet product developed by Embedded Downloads Ltd., a London-registered company. Launched in 2017 and priced at 99 euros, the device was marketed as a self-custody wallet that gave users full control over their private keys without relying on third-party servers.

The wallet’s central feature was Dynamic Key Creation: private keys were generated by the user and never stored on the device or on any company server. The product combined a USB hardware key with a Windows desktop application and an Android companion app that communicated over an encrypted Bluetooth connection.

The desktop application provided access to five Bitcoin wallets and a Bitcoin vault. The vault was restricted to sending funds only to the wallets within the same application. The product also claimed support for Bitcoin Cash and Ethereum through its companion software suite.

Embedded Downloads Ltd. was also the company behind the BitVault, marketed as a blockchain smartphone, and Embedded Vault, which aimed to turn an ordinary PC into a secure cryptocurrency banking device. Swiss Bank In Your Pocket was part of the same product family.

The wallet attracted criticism from independent reviewers. Concerns included the requirement to send an activation key to the company before use, the inability to export or view private keys from within the application, unresponsive customer support, and the absence of publicly available source code for independent auditing. The company ceased active support around 2018, and the official website went offline. WalletScrutiny listed the product as defunct, noting it could not be independently verified.
