ZebPay

ZebPay is a custodial cryptocurrency exchange and wallet platform founded in 2014, making it one of India’s longest-running crypto services. Built by Sandeep Goenka, Saurabh Agarwal, and Mahin Gupta, it suspended operations in 2018 following a Reserve Bank of India circular restricting banks from servicing crypto businesses. ZebPay relaunched in early 2020 after India’s Supreme Court struck down that circular, under new leadership with Rahul Pagidipati as CEO. The company is formally headquartered in Singapore, with its primary operations, team, and tax base in India.

ZebPay holds user assets and stores 98% of funds in multi-signature cold wallets. The platform is available on iOS, Android, and web, supporting over 400 trading pairs across Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, XRP, and a broad range of altcoins. Key features include:

Its Australian operations, launched in May 2019 from a Melbourne office, are registered with AUSTRAC as a digital currency exchange provider. Since inception, ZebPay has accumulated more than 6 million registered users and over $22 billion in cumulative trade volume, with services available across 160+ countries.
